What Is Extreme Poverty & Who Are The Extremely Poor?


Extreme poverty is defined as average daily consumption of $1.25 or less and means living on the edge of subsistence.

The extreme poor live on less the $1.25 a day.

Many lack basic sanitation and clean drinking water; they’re malnourished and suffer from lack of education.

The facts speak volumes.

But there is hope that their numbers can be significantly reduced within a lifetime.

Maybe even your lifetime.
